Is peppa pig too old for a 4.5 yo boy? He's 5 in March. He loves peppa so I got him the wooden house for Xmas. Not too babyish?

Not at all if he likes it. My DD loves peppa, she’s 5. I am trying to ease up on buying more though, only because she’s getting older and will probably grow out of it at some point. My older DDs will say they are too old but happily play with Peppa toys with my youngest.

DS has just turned 4 and still loves Peppa but is maybe just growing out of it. DD got teased at school in Year 1 for having a Peppa Pig backpack and now won't go near anything Peppa related.

Could you look on marketplace? Then if he grows out of it in say 6 months you haven't lost too much money and can resell?

Not if he likes it - never to old for something they genuinely enjoy. Although I guess I would be wary of the cost as he may not be that into it for that much longer, so I’d be wondering if it’s worth it.

My just turned 5 year old still plays with the Peppa pig toys we have. She enjoys watching peppa pig as well

the Peppa wooden house is great! My ds got it for his 3rd birthday and still playing with it 2 years later. Can always paint it when they’ve grown out of it

Bethanylia · 25/10/2022 22:21

Why not? Kids don't have to be in a rush to grow up and if he loves Peppa it's still better than loving a show too old for him. He may grow out of it soon so maybe look for cheap/on offer/second hand Peppa toys to tide you over until his new favourite show x

I agree it's what he's into and Tbf I've watched Peppa so you're never too old!
