Hi

What are you buying teens, boys and girls 11-18?

Nieces and nephews etc so not big presents.

Circa £10-20

I have loads of them and a huge mix of interests so open to hearing all suggestions.

So far all I have is a beanie designed to not ruin curly (or any hair) for a curly late teen so I'm not doing super well!

Thank you! X

Portable charger
Watercolour pencils
Pyjamas
Card game

For our nieces and nephews it's cash and a selection box each.
All of our dd's would have preferred cash at that age so I'm happy to give them something that they would prefer.
Gift card if you really don't want to give cash for cinema, Nando's , costa etc.

SoThisIs43 · 25/10/2022 09:52

I have 4 nephews ranging from 11 to 20. They usually get cash or a gift card and chocolates!! Gift card for usually JD or as they've gotten older Nandos or similar

goldfinchonthelawn · 25/10/2022 09:55

I usually go for: Uniqlo teeshirts - especially the designer or art ones
a small gadget like a milk frother if they like coffee and hot chocolate
Nice make up palette (check what ranges they like first)

Hereforthedramaz · 25/10/2022 09:56

I feel a bit awkward with cash or vouchers, not with it in principle ( I realise they all like a bit of cash) but I have 8 and I can't afford to give them all the max range.

And I think £10 each is a bit starkly low for how close we are.

Which is why I end of with going for an actual present, that way some get more spent on them and some less but it's not to clear how much I'm spending.

Ooh I'm going to look at the Uniqlo t shirts, great idea

Primark oodies in various designs, £16 if I remember

ManefesationofConciousness · 25/10/2022 12:50

cash honestly
They would rather get £5 than a gift that they either probably already have or don't want

The teenage years were the pit of boots 3 for 2 tat and both of mine hated it. They would honestly rather have got nothing than having to be grateful for a toiletries set they were allergic too or a deodorant gift pack

What about a cracker (buy a cheap pack and open them) with an edible item and £10 note

Or I used to get a bag of gold of chocolate coins and add in real £1 coins.

This is exactly what I do. Rather give them something they will want.

DD would love chocolate and money, no big celebration box but more a Lindt Santa or Teddy.

Def not 3f2 from Boots or similar.

Personalised Starbucks cup (girls) full of chocolate coins

Photo clip light strings always go down well:

I agree with the give money of gift cards. Selection box and £10 would be appreciated and I'm sure nobody would look down on £10 given the state of things at the moment! Or give £15 each if you can't face giving £10.
Honestly they will love you for it!

Worriedmum42 · 25/10/2022 23:05

Some things my teen has liked recently
The dog lights come in a pack of 6 all individually boxed so make a really cute little gift.
The hot drinks cup is great. I used the same one for work.
Cat pens cheap, cute

Postcards come in different colours to match colour scheme of room
The question a day diary is fun - especially looking back at previous years and as far as I know all teen girls love a highlighter (well they do here!

Am I ask for a link for the curly hair beanie? That would be fab for quite a few in our family.

I have a few nieces to buy for in this age bracket although our budget is no more than £10. Last year I bought some of them an initial make up bag from M&S and put cosy socks, shower steamers and chocolate inside. That was well received. Also a mug cake recipe book with a cute mug. Books if they are keen readers. Slippers, fake oodie, nice hot water bottle, reusable cup with nice coffee or hot chocolate. I have a 13yo DS and he would appreciate nothing more than cash. But if not, some kind of sweet hamper, wallet or nice belt, Nike T-shirt, football bits, one of those cross-body bags to keep his wallet and phone, poster. Slipper socks went down surprisingly well in last year's stocking!

snowmanshoes · 26/10/2022 09:52

I don’t know any teen/tween girl that doesn’t like fluffy socks of any description!
Mug cake kits with or without mug usually go down well too or hot choc spoon things - B and M would be your friend for decent ones that are fairly priced of these.
Those mini dog lamps are super cute - they also do a 3 pack which I’ve nabbed to split between my dd’s - how fun!
