Any recommendations for really special Christmas tree decorations? I like to buy a couple of new ones every year.

Thank you.

We’ve bought a ER red post box for this Christmas! Look at John Lewis and Harrods for lovely ones. Equally, Etsy has pretty hand made ones if you wish to support smaller businesses

The Museum Selection, Lisa Angel and Cotswold Trading

Baybrook Kane Britten for sterling silver decorations. Newbridge silverware for beautiful and reasonably priced decorations. I buy my children one of these every Christmas. My sister buys me one every year and has done so for the last 20ish years .

Depends on your style I fired but I’ve previously bought Disney ones for friends and Swarovski release a new one every year, was quite a poignant Angel one the year a friends mother died so that went down very well.

Shwighty1 · 14/10/2022 03:51

Fired should say guess!!
the other place I had looked at was georg Jensen they do an annual release of a decoration.

Fiddledeedeeee · 14/10/2022 05:31

I’ve been collecting the braybrook and Britten reindeer since DCs first Christmas (this is year 3) and intend to get the full collection inc Santa sleigh to dangle along the mantle piece over the years. They come beautifully boxed. It’ll probably be the DCs inheritance due to the cost 😂.

I like glass mostly for the tree and pick up one or two a year normally if I see ones I fancy.

Sworovski, halinka's fairy characters are really sweet and come in a box with tissue , Fortnum & Mason . Liberty.

Kathe Wohlfahrt so amazing Christmas decorations! They've got such a range and they're all amazing, especially the glass blown ones.

LadySpratt · 14/10/2022 06:24

OP, have you got a good Christmas tree topper? I’ve been searching for a nice one for the last few years and haven’t found one yet.

LBF2020 · 14/10/2022 07:44

I love unconventional decorations and I get one or two from Anthropologie a year. I get the biggest Christmas tree I can afford/fit and our guests enjoy looking at all the characters. Every decoration has a story 🤩

Sonyo · 14/10/2022 09:55

AmySwann does some really lovely wooden ones, and Oklahoma has lots of colourful, vintage-style baubles. I've already bought a few new ones this year, but I'll be having a look at the other places recommended!

I really love Georg Jensen Christmas Decorations, they come individually boxed and are really beautiful. I also love the Christmas extension to their season candleholder that turns it into a Christmas tree!

Not cheap though, but if you search you can usually find some deals

BeetFeet · 14/10/2022 10:35

Brilliant, thank you all.

@LadySpratt I don't use a topper, my tree touches the ceiling and I don't really like that 'finished' look, iykwim?!

Have you tried Waterford Crystal or Wedgwood or places like that? What sort of style are you after?
