Christmas Tree Topper

Every year I look in the shops to find a lovely Christmas tree topper that I'll want to keep forever, rather than the £5 ones which I know will end up as landfill in a couple of years.
Ideally I'd love an angel one (seventies child here) but would love any ideas of good quality ones if anyone has come across any?

Check Balsam Hill - pricy but will last forever (I like to think our decorations will be passed on). I think they have a sale now too.
I got a Bethlehem star.

We have a silver & white Gisela Graham one bought several years ago.

I keep thinking that one year I’ll buy the georg Jensen topper.

Garden centres seem to have the best decorations

Have you looked on Folksy.com for handmade ones? Or etsy?

I got a beautiful fabric angel from Homesense,

@Harrysutton We bought a stunning Georg Jensen one almost 6 years ago in the new year sale at the store in Copenhagen. I was thrilled to see it on sale as I've always wanted one and managed to convince DH with some very spurious exchange rate calculations that it was about £15 - turned out it was more like £60! Blush
Sadly it is SO heavy that no Christmas tree, including our very sturdy Balsam Hill one, can stand the weight of it and after a few years of it being held up with various bits of ill disguised doweling/chopsticks/pipe cleaners, we finally gave up last year and just admired it in its box when putting up and taking down the rest of the decorations!

Thanks everyone, lots of interesting suggestions, I particularly love the Balsam Hill ones, so traditional!

I've been looking for one for years and still haven't found the one!

I have a felt Angle from Bath Christmas Market. It's lovely and doesn't break!

turkeyboots · 14/10/2022 10:33

An Angel! Not an angle.

Try etsy? www.etsy.com/ie/market/felt_tree_topper

I love ours from Sketch Stitch Love but they sell out SUPER fast sadly.
