I know there are two camps on Mumsnet - those that love Christmas Pjs and those that hate them, but after a crappy year, I want something cute to do with the kids. So where are the best ones? Which ones are good quality and can be worn all year? Which ones should I avoid? I have two daughters 9 and 6 and a partner who will prob take part reluctantly lol. Theyre not going to be shared on social (He would kill me!) but are just for the kids benefit really.

TIA!

I always find George@asda good quality. But I’m eyeing up these this year (possibly more for when your daughters are teens though)

Our Marks and Spenser ones have just arrived! They are amazing! And just a very festive check so can definitely be worn all year! Not the cheapest though, we had a gift card to contribute towards them!

Oh they're gorgeous - but as you say kids are probs a bit young yet though.

Will check M&S ones out thank you! @FTM2022SS

We love a Christmas pj in this house & have new matching ones each year. They've come from Asda, M&S, new look & Debenhams. We pull out previous years & wear throughout December but new ones are for Christmas Eve.

Our difficulty is getting them in the right sizes as DD2 is a size 4/6 & I'm an 18/20.

I've not seen any that I'm loving this year though.

Lewiscapaldiscat · 08/10/2022 17:24

Ah I’ve tried them all! I love them but quality varies!

Disney store is the worst - they shrank and really odd shape.

next - one set the front design came off and another set stained everything!

Asda are ok - would buy again if they do long sleeves - but most of the womens are short sleeved and I get cold!

m&s - two years ago - amazing - last year the Womens again were an odd shape and I got a bigger size as I love baggy pjs and they were smaller than the year before!

this year I have got very - checked ones - look nice! Used the £20 when you open an account so good value at £15 each.

I left it very last minute last year and ended up managing to find some in all of our sizes in Home Bargains of all places!

They were very reasonably priced (helpful as there's 5 of us) and washed well too.

Dogghee · 08/10/2022 18:42

I like Chelsea Peers but only in the half price sale

Last year's we're from M&Co and have worn all year long

Christmassy but not too novelty

Franticbutterfly · 08/10/2022 22:33

I bought the M&S tartan ones for 5 of us last year and they had all shrunk after one wash. This year I have some for DD9 from Primark that I know won't shrink. I

Be careful when washing, all of ours shrunk after one wash.

Actually, the best quality ones I've bought have been from Asda. Adult ones though, not kids.

Dd1 and I have ordered matching Jack Skellington Christmas ones this year. Dh doesn't do Christmas pjs and dd2 wants to wear her polar bear ones from Asda

DayOfTheTentacle · 09/10/2022 20:05

Pyjamas.com have some nice ones.

We never do matching PJs (my sister and I used to as kids at Christmas!) but, DS and I will be sporting the red tartan winciette PJs this year.

Rainbowshit · 09/10/2022 20:59

We had some amazing marks and slender ones one year. Lovely thick cotton and they washed so well. DD had baubles on hers and DS had ski scenes. Was gutted when they outgrew them.
