Do you have any suggestions for things that take up a lot of space in a stocking (wish I’d bought smaller ones but I’m stuck with them now!)

eg
Tube of Pringles
rolled up colouring book

OP posts:

Big bag of marshmallows. Wrap anything vaguely delicate in bubble wrap. Magazines.

KingscoteStaff · 02/10/2022 12:05

Variety pack of mini cereals (especially if you don’t normally buy Frosties etc)

Comedycook · 02/10/2022 12:07

Big tub of popcorn

Fivemoreminutes1 · 02/10/2022 12:18

Tub of hot chocolate
Packet of felt tips
Water bottle
Puzzle book
Cuddly toy

Perhaps reduce the amount you spend on their main present/s and instead spend a bit more on the stockings so that you’re not just buying tat for the sake of it. Would jigsaws and board games fit? Shin pads?

Tubes of sweets, box of Swiss miss hot chocolate sachets (b&m), selection box if they're really large.

LaTangerina · 02/10/2022 12:25

Yellies.

They were a massive hit with our 4 DC aged 5-11.

So much so we got them again the following year but in different colours.

Goldbar · 02/10/2022 12:45

A big box of novelty American cereal like Lucky Charms.
Large colouring pad
S'mores kit - giant marshmallows, graham crackers and hersheys chocolate
New sponge bag and fancy sponges
Bath bombs
Giant chocolate coin
Kite
Baking stuff including colourful whisks and mixing bowl set (a hit here last year)
Baking kits - novelty cupcakes etc. The Dr Oetker science ones, galaxy cupcakes, monster cupcakes and Colin the caterpillar cookie set have all proved popular choices with my DC.
Garden rocket launcher

Some great ideas on this thread - thank you! Yellie and Magic Snake purchased Smile

I bulk out with a large Lindt santa or reindeer and that's the only chocolate DS will get from me. I have put a small maze book, a joke book, binoculars, little projector, torch, bath sponge and bubble bath in a stocking over the years too.

Bumpinthenight · 02/10/2022 20:48
