What are your Christmas Eve plans?

DH is off this year which is unusual!
Looking for inspo for days out with the kids in the hope of tiring them out.
Preferably indoors in case weather is bad.

Morning is spent prepping christmas dinner and christmas breakfast. Will have christmas music playing, kids will be entertained with some festive activities.

We usually eat out at lunchtime and then do some last minute shopping before heading to the pub on the way home for a couple.

We get home mid afternoon and we'll usually just sit down and watch a Christmas movie or play a board game and eat chocolate.

Once it gets dark we all wrap up warm and head out for a walk and we just walk around town looking at the christmas lights in the shop windows and the houses. On the way home we'll pick up Chinese take out.

We eat our food and watch some festive TV. After food we pop into see DM and her DH makes everyone snowballs (kids get a fizzy drink).
After we go home we always stand in the garden to see if we can hear Santa's sleigh bells and we always do (DM has some special bells she rings, she stands by garden fence and jingles them) kids are always made up!

We all get new pyjamas and treats in the christmas eve box so we get changed into our nightwear and and watch polar express together with hot chocolate. Kids leave mince pie, milk and catrot for santa before heading to bed. . Me and DH will watch some TV before going to bed ourselves.
