Any recommendations for children’s tablets, please?

They’ve been suggested for Christmas - Gdcs are 6 and 7, and at the mo are doing homework/school activities e.g. DoodleMaths on parents’ phones. Parental controls are obv. a necessity!

I’ve looked online - there are masses to choose from.

Ipads seem to be popular but pricey then it's down to parents to put child safety into place on them. I know they are like marmite but dgd (6) has the Amazon HD 10 Pro kids tablet and love it. It has a year age appropriate amazon kids and parents can approve suitable apps. It's a bit more grown up than the standard kids tablet regards to what they can access. Yes it's not the quality of an ipad but our 6yr old dgd doesn't notice and we've never had issues with it. Currently down to £129 right now. The amazon kids hd pro 8 is on sale too I'm not sure price, think about £70/80 and a newer version of the HD 8 Pro is out in October and available to pre order.
