Stem/science kits without the subscription

I like the look of some of the STEM kits you can get for kids but don’t want to get locked into a subscription (where they’re delivered monthly), like Mel Science and Kiwi Co do.

has anyone seen or used/recommend a company that does one off kits you can pick and choose from?

In smyths and Argos you can buy national geographic sets they’re on offer for 2 for £20 in Argos. They have a volcano making out, Dino fossil kit and crystal garden to choose from.
