Anyone else enjoy a good run up to the festive season? I feel like the temperature really dropped today so the (fake) Oodie is on and I'm in the mood! How is your Christmas prep going?

Can’t do anything yet until Friday when I know new home is secure but A traveller in time dvd will turn up and be put away for Christmas night. In a Christmas tote bag which will have bits put into it.

Sounds very cute, is that a Christmas film?

I used to use a different Santa wrapping paper for each DC. Last year I used these named stickers from Amazon instead.

Lovely Santa paper from Next this year. It came wrapped in brown paper, so I don’t have to hide it 👏

Not a Christmas film as such but Christmas is in the last episode. As Tudor one.

I've just booked ice skating for the 28th Dec! That's all my advance booking done now, unless I change my mind about a light trail...

I like the idea of the sticker labels, saves writing out labels all the time, which is why I don’t always label as I go along.

Woohoo I finally got out and about today, filled a full trolley of halloween and Christmas goodies at homebargins. I bought the dcs new grinch PJs and hats which are perfect as I bought a bunch of grinch bits in last years sales and I was thinking about doing a grinch themed tree this year. So I can see lots of fun with 3 mini grinches destroying the tree lol. I always do multiple trees, the dcs can do what they want with theirs as long as they stay away from mine.

I also managed to get the all important Terry’s dark chocolate orange for my DH. His mum use to buy him one every year before she died. It gets harder every year to get the dark chocolate ones, I managed to get one in Booths though.

I also got our first family dog a Christmas jumper, I can’t believe I’ve turned into one of those people who dresses their pets up haha 🤦‍♀️

My first novels and a traveler in time turned up today still in packaging and put away, for Christmas ordering thre more then that’s five to open Christmas Day.

I’ve just ordered new Christmas duvet covers and teddy bear fitted sheets for DC from Dunelm. They’re really cute.

I'm returning the ones I bought from Asda. They just aren’t that nice this year! Not a fan of the Asda boy’s pjs either!

Always4Brenner · 27/09/2022 16:35

I’d like Christmas bedding but not sure can afford this year we’ll see.

SnowJamz · 27/09/2022 18:28

Can’t believe how quick Christmas is coming round. I have made a start on a list for DC. Going to cut back again this year. Due to cost of living and the fact that there is still stuff that hasn’t been played with from last Christmas.

I have ordered the Christmas Candy Cane bedding from Asda for oldest DD. £10 which I think is good value.

Devo1818 · 27/09/2022 19:55

Studio are good for Christmas bedding - got the kids for £9 each last year!
