Doll pushchair for tall 6 year old?

Dd6 is obsessed with her “babies” (do you think she’s too old now??). She will play for hours things like going on holiday and packing their bags etc. she loves babies in general anyway so loves her dolls lol.

she has a cheap small pram her auntie gave her when she was 3 and I’d love to buy her a new one. I’m worried her fiends will bully her though which is ridiculous because she’s only in year 2!

can anyone recommend a nice one please? Also a new doll if possible!

thank you x

I don't think she's too old at all.

My girl is 7 and she loves the exact same things. The baby goes in the car seat most mornings.

That is the pram my girl has, she has had it nearly 2 years and she loves it.

What’s too old to play with a doll! If you can’t play mummies and daddies when you’re 6 then when the heck can you? My dd is 6 and has the silver cross pram. I think it was from Smyths. It’s quite big and sturdy compared to the little dolly buggies you get. As for dolls I don’t think you can beat a Baby Born, although they’re hard to get clothes on. I like that they’re all plastic so they can get in the bath/get dirty, and be wiped clean. I remember when my oldest dd was young you used to get these tiny tiny baby born dolls that could fit in your pocket. Haven’t seen those in years!

My 10 year old had dolls and a pushchair. She's 12 now and still plays occasionally. I don't know how tall your 6 year old but I found a cheap new (or second hand!) actual pushchair was better and cheaper than the big toy ones

My 7 year old DD loves her dolls and long may it continue. She has a daisy chain and silver cross prams both large enough for her, and sturdy. Full size pram is too big for her to manage (she isn't tall and strong enough to use her baby brothers). For dolls, look at the Mary Shortle shop (online or in York if you are near) -they do every type of doll imaginable, are fantastic quality and a bit more 'grown up' than a baby Annabel etc.

My tall 6 year old (aged 9 to 10 clothes) has this but a different print.

What about the Our Generation dolls? They're large dolls but more for that age range

SnowJamz · 12/09/2022 13:40

Ah no she’s not too old. I think it’s so lovely that she gets such joy and enjoyment from playing with them.
