Anybody following The Organised Mum Method at Christmas?

Long time lurker but new poster! This is my first thread as I'm feeling very christmassy and in full preparation mode!

This year I am giving the TOMM at Christmas method a go. There's a special Christmas tab in the app with weekly to-dos and we are on week one.

This week I've booked theatre shows for the family and a special concert just for DH and I. I've added local events to the diary and am waiting for dates to be released to meet Father Christmas.

Christmas wrap (brown paper, Christmas stamps and coloured string) is arriving today and I'm planning to wrap presents as I buy them and stash them in my secret attic.

My Christmas planner has made an appearance and I'm making a long list of things to cook and make.

What has everybody been preparing, planning, doing or making?

I stalled with the tou cull because the playroom is upended with the fallout from DIY. But I did cave and get a Tom Gates advent calendar for ds3.

Very good idea! Will do the same!

All good otherwise - everything I wanted to book is booked (panto, father Christmas, ice skating).

Could do with a little more de- cluttering in our bedroom but clothes and toys are done

I also have a rough list and budget.

@Devo1818 I'm the same I really need to know the nativity date!

Which of TOMM books should I be getting first?

What do you want to get out of TOMM?

Fly lady's version is called 'flying through the holidays'. And similarly the target is to be pretty much Christmas ready by 1Dec. And then you can actually enjoy the run up to Christmas. Life changing.
The team Tomm Xmas stuff is really good.

I have a list of people to buy for, we have a rough budget but I have no real clues what the dc are asking for yet. As they get older it's more electronics and less toys.
And I still need to sort advent calendars! We've done Tinc and Smiggle, time for something different.

Hello everyone! Joining in late. I actually have the app from a previous attempt at doing TOMM (couldn't stick at it and it fell by the wayside) but you have inspired me to re-download it and see if it spurs me on.

I already have booked Father Christmas and the panto but need to book in some other stuff I expect as we don't see extended family as involves a lot of travel.

ScottyDogsForAll · 02/10/2022 15:11

Has anyone found a present app with a passcode? I'm sure I had one a few years ago but for the life of me cannot find it at all. Just need to get sorted with lists and think I'm caught up, it's week 4 isn't it?

Another sitting on my hands for booking events even now. We have the big man early Dec, light show mid and closer to the big day we have a panto. My head knows that's plenty (last year we had big man, 3 light shows, fair and panto 🙈) but I keep seeing the ads and second guessing myself.

@ScottyDogsForAll i have Gift List and you can put a password on it 😊
