Sleeping arrangements

Hello 🙂
Just a quick one, am I being unreasonable to want to sleep in my own bed when hosting Christmas?
My husband has offered our bed and spares to everyone - leaving us on the floor 🙈😂

Depends who it's too.

If there was one bed and one floor space/sofa available, I would absolutely give up my bed to my grandmother. I would absolutely not give it up for a teenage niece or nephew, especially if I'd also cooked them a large dinner with many courses immediately beforehand. They'd be told to bring a blow up mattress, or blankets for the sofa.

I love having people for Christmas but I would never give anyone my bed. I need my own space to be able to host a lot of people over Christmas.

I would think it's polite to give up your bed to an older couple - your parents say. But I would expect my DD and her partner to sleep on the floor and us to have the bed.

Depends who it is. We give up our bed for my in-laws, and for couples with small babies, because the room is bigger.

Agree - if all guests are older or would find it hard to sleep on lilo etc (eg heavily pregnant) then there’s a case for offering up your bed (though there’s also a case for saying you don’t have enough room for them all). But if they’re perfectly capable, then no. Not reasonable.

Happy to give my bed up and decamp to the 5 star hotel down the road.

Either there’s a spare bed for a guest to sleep in or we don’t have room for someone to stay over!! They can make other arrangements.

Sounds like a crap Christmas to be sleeping on the floor!!
