I am looking at getting my little boy some board games for Christmas.

Can I ask board games your kids have loved and played with plenty around the age of 5.

Thank you 😀

Snap Dragon was a big hit when my youngest was 5. Like Pop-Up Pirate, it’s a fun cause-and-effect game.
Also Barbecue Party.

Snakes & ladders, Ker Plunk, Jenna. Dc1 loved Battleships and still does. Dc2 loved junior scrabble at 5 and still does. Junior Monopoly is good as is Ludo.

Can't beat a game of draughts!

DD loved Orchard games. Pizza pizza, pigs in pants, shopping list etc

Sorry! Is a great game that you can play nicely when they're young, or really mean when they're older. It's essentially Ludo, but if you land on someone, you send them home and they have to start again. As they get older, you can start to gang up against each other, form alliances etc to try and win. It's a good game, you can play from when your children can read, and it's still a favourite with my teens now.
