My DD is very into makeup (has taken to "borrowing" mine)

So for her xmas Im looking to get her a good makeup starter pack, i dont want mac or Charlotte tilbury but equally i dont want "kids toy makeup"

Can anyone recommend.

Thanks

What about Revolution? Its not the best quality but its cheap and they have really cute Disney collections and palettes.

Colourpop are good too, still pretty child friendly but better quality imo than Revolution

Revolution is perfect , good colour ranges and cruelty free .

Also buy her some cleanser ( Body Shop Camomile Balm + some muslin cloths is good) to take it off easily .

Primark does some really good brushes

My DD just turned 9 and has also started borrowing my make up, we went shopping with her birthday vouchers yesterday and popped into Claire's Accessories, they had some really cute pallettes on sale at decent prices. Primark also had some x

Boots have tons of make up kits at Christmas with lots of different eye shadow colours and lipsticks.

PeekAtYou · 11/08/2022 14:58

Superdrug is great for budget makeup.

You can also get advent calendars for budget makeup brands like Revolution.

TokyoSushi · 11/08/2022 15:03

DD (also 9) has quite a few bits from the Little Something range at Boots. She has this palette:

The bonus is that it is always on 3 for 2 or heavily reduced at Christmas which makes it very cheap! Cruelty free and has not caused any irritation, cheap enough to mess around with too. They do lots of stuff!

My 2 girls got these last Christmas - more grown up than the kids make up. They're powder too.

Sleek is good if you can still get that in boots

pierpoint · 14/08/2022 12:22

NYX is good. Primark make up as well. Body care and Superdrug all have really good make up and gorgeous eyeshadow palettes. Superdrug is probably the best place to go as it's cheap & they have all the different brands so can pick and choose. My daughter has been into make up since 5-6 it started off with cute little Disney make up & using mine etc and now she's 11 she's a pro at it but still using primark, Superdrug etc.

Starlight86 · 15/08/2022 10:57

I find this comment so bizarre.

Like do you think because you are saying no im going to be like awwww i wont do this now.

You should also change your name because it seems that, infact, you arent too tired to bother.

Superdrug are great have lots of cheap options. I got my 9 YO a small light up mirror and then a little "pamper pack" with face wipes, sheet face masks (home bargains do animal ones for 69p)
