I went on the Christmas Bargains threads to look for beauty deals and running gifts for my family...and ended up buying myself a perfume, a metric ton of socks and a cribbage set 😂😂

Who's going next? 😛

I can't resist the bargains and sometimes have no clue who on earth I'm going to gift the things to but buy them regardless. That rather defeats the point doesn't it I'm doing my best to be sensible this year. Loveliest, kindest thread on mumsnet by a mile though.

It's a fantastic thread. So far I've stuck religiously to lists or stopped and reassessed them when I've been swayed. Less disciplined with me though... placed a final Fragrance Direct order yesterday. Oops.

Bought myself some NARS makeup when someone on the bargain thread posted about boots having 20% off for one day only.
I normally buy cheaper foundation.

What perfume did you get?

It's good to treat yourself and 20% off is excellent. I'm embarrassed to say what I got because of the spending it implies but the prices were bargains. I ordered Valentino Voce Viva, Prada Amber (discontinued now so must be the last stock) and a Britney Spears one for £8.50. The Britney Fantasy line is surprisingly good!

😂 same! I absolutely adore the thread but it's an insanely good way to procrastinate!!

Sorry no Christmas bargain thread deviance from me yet but your post did remind me of the first time as a teenager I got a pt job and was able to buy my own Christmas presents for people - went out looking for stuff for other people and came home with a load of hair and makeup stuff for myself Grin

Last year I bought the buns but didn't give them to anyone and forgot to make them myself 😂🙈

Another confession 🙈 Turtle Doves

I took advantage of a deal earlier in the year. Bought fingerless gloves for SIL and a pair for me in the deal. At checkout it offered discounted wristwarmers in a colour to compliment my choice so I thought lovely that will be another gift!

I'm still undecided if I want to keep the gloves or the wrist warmers as they're both so lovely 🙈😂
