Hi all! We are moving back from 10 years overseas to live in the UK this summer.

Christmas is a big event in our household but I am feeling unprepared for the UK
I have just booked tickets to Lapland UK, but wondered if there are any other recommendations for things we should be booking early?
I have two children, aged 4 and 6

The Christmas light trail at Kew Gardens is just wonderful, for all ages.

The Snowman - I took my DS to Sadlers Wells when he was 5yo (he's 22 now ) he still remembers bits of it ( especially shouting That's a man, that's A Man DRESSED UP Xmas Blush

Came on here to say Lapland U.K. but I see you've already done that 👍🏻

One of the many outdoor skating rinks perhaps? The national history one is always popular. Or Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park

There's a company called luminate that do xmas light walks at several places in the UK I think they are actually selling tickets now?

Pantomime tickets! Depending on where you are moving to. The popular performances will sell out very quickly.

The better light trails and Father Christmas experiences will sell out, too. Where are you going to be living? Someone might have local knowledge.

Good luck on moving back.

Definitely helpful to have an area so we can be more helpful.

My kids are 6 and 2. Near me the Christmas light trails for December were on sale in January! Ended up buying for this year as they sell out quickly (some dates already had!). We’ve also booked the theatre - room on the broom for December too.

I’ll be in London but given how many christmasses we’ve missed I’m willing to travel!

thanks for all the great suggestions
