Went to PIL for Christmas lunch, they have presents under tree and ds randomly (very randomly) gives them out. There are always mix ups which we have to correct as dh and FIL have the same name which everyone abbreviates in Different ways. Also some said Mum but were for MIL etc.

Anyway dh got nothing from him parents, which is unusual, but in the blur only I noticed. I got nothing either (I got 2 birthday presents 4 days ago and one of them was Christmassy - so it could be I got that one early so I could use it for christmas.)

Anyway, we can't say thank you for a present we haven't got, but if it simply got lost somewhere then it will be rude that we didn't say thank you.

Hmm. Tricky. I think you need to talk to them and ask if something got misappropriated. Easier to do at the time really! Hope you have a nice Christmas. It does sound as though yours was an early one and Dh's got mixed up with Fil's, perhaps?

We're in NZ.

Present should have come by now (subscription) and hasn't so MIL was pleased dh asked her as she has been charged.

Yes it would have been easier at the time if dh had noticed.

I think DH has to ask doesn't he. all sounds VERY confusing

hope you had a good day, and a good birthday. How was the show?

Birthday was lovely. Show is well worth seeing. Are you going?

What are you up to today?

DS2 is the 'postman' for the delivery of our tree presents. Impossible to slow him down. Presents get distributed in a blur. Is chaos. Fun though. Hope you sort out your issue. Prob best to say something, in a light-hearted way.

we are going to the show, will try to book sometime for Jan, mother will be babysitting. HUrrah!

off to the rentals again today, with rest off family this time. And need to pack to go away very early tomorrow

what are you up to?

Ds has been a nightmare all day - which I have maybe only said on a handful of occassions. He is now fast asleep and has been since 6.45pm so he is either worn out or coming down with something (or both).

blimey

DD was in bed at 5.50 this evening , she was completely and utterly knackered and beside herself at 2pm but WOULD NOT have a sleep so we bundled her off as soon as we got home

still, a good 5 hours in the car tomorrow should sort her out. then we are meeting ghosty at the end of it though, so that should entertain her enough! Have a great New Year and see you soon
