Some one is missing their turkey, now that is real trouble.

I didn't get my smoked salmon - that's why I arranged my delivery for last night, so I'd have time to pop to the shops for the missing items today.

Mine has arrived, with everything in it - and I am pretty shocked but rather pleased!!! On the downside.......BIL and SIL's heating has packed up, so everyone's coming to mine tomorrow now (it's only next door to theirs, and I was cooking anyway, but I was hoping to get out of the washing up!!!)

ocado failed to deliver my smoked salmon, eggs and fresh orange juice. this will put a dampner on our christmas breakfast which is always smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on toast with OJ.

dry toast is nice too though....

I went on line on thursday to edit my delivery on friday to discover to my horror I had left it too late to edit, they had changed the edit times.
Luckily I had jiggled it around the week before, and so it wasn't too disasterous but thank the lord I hadn't just orderer the £99 bottle of champagne that I do sometimes to reserve the slot.
Phew

I did Waitrose Collect yesterday. I am now so glad it was not delivery.

DH and DD were to have duck breasts glazed in marmalade.

The only thing Waitrose failed to have waiting for me - and none in store - was yes, you guessed it the duck! Argh. Had no other fresh duck on store at all.

Having then paniced and witht he help of the rather lovely Waitrose man we finally located one of just two frozen ducklings in the freezer section.

So have had to make a rather quick adjustment to our menu - DH and DD now having a full duck, with remainders to be ate on the 27th if I can get hold of some wraps for them!

My ASDA delivery left two of my bags on the van and refused to come back. They contained: mince pies, Christmas pudding, Christmas cake, bread, stuffing, crumpets, to name some. To add to my annoyance they told me they would refund me in 10 days time
