I HATE WRAPPING

Every year I seem to have blocked out just how incredibly bad I am at wrapping. My own family are well used to receiving a mountain of sellotape and paper with a present somewhere in the middle but have been trying really hard with everyone else's but no joy. I have just wound up very frustrated, with large pieces of sellotape in my hair.

Me too! I've solved the problem this year though. I bought up all the Xmas bags I could find in the January sales and christmas tissue paper too. They were 10p each in Wilkos!

Now all I have to do is, pop the gift in the bag and top with a peice of festive tissue paper!

LL

I loooooooooooooove wrapping.

I get to escape the psycho-babies, mr psycho is in charge, I go upstairs with a pile of DVD's and wrap away.

(well, that is in the ideal world)

reality is I do go upsairs, I do take a pile of DVD's, BUT, the psycho-babies are constantly knocing on the door or shouting thro it as psychodaddy is ignorin them cos he has footy on the TV and tells them to leave him alone!!!!!!!!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

GibboninaRibbon might have something to say about that rhyme LL

I LOVE wrapping, esp with all the curly ribbon, LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I love to wrap all the christmas loot,
It really is a jolly hoot.
If you don't like it send it here, and I'll send it back with some christmas cheer

Actually I really Do like wrapping, There's a curious satisfaction to getting a really sharp edge on a box

I'm divided about wrapping. if its easy, like a book, box, DVD etc then I like it. Anything else iget annoyed with. I also bought some gift bags, so have used those. I go upstairs and sit behind the bedroom door so the DSes can't get in to do my wrapping

Alambil · 22/12/2007 10:17

PMSL @ sit behind the door!

I love wrapping - need to get some curly ribbon stuff and tags though to embelish!

OhGiveUsAPruniPudding · 22/12/2007 10:20

I like it when I have really crisp expensive paper and a plan.
I love the tissue paper and gift bag idea, I have a stash somewhere...phew.

Alambil · 22/12/2007 10:23

Tip for getting expensive paper - get it in the sales!!

I got some Boots best quality stuff (about £3 a roll) for 50p each towards the middle/end of January!!!

chrissnow · 22/12/2007 10:28

I get carried away. I'm getting more 'creative' every year. For some bizarre reason I made gift tags this year(???) I have bags with tissue paper. box towers and ribbons, Crisp edged parcels and curly ribbon ago-go. Only problem being most of these presents have got to travel 150 in the boot of the car to my family. so bags will be overturned and contents strewn, crisp edges will be battered and wrinkled, and curly ribbon will be flattened and I will be !!!
