Duplicate books

Hi I forwarded a Xmas list to my mum and then told her I was sending it to the rest of the family. She told me what she was getting except she also got two other books for my son which are duplicates from Amazon. Is it worth returning? Or is there an easier way?

.... There's a few ways to sort this.

Return them

Take to a shop and exchange.

Regift them

Donate them.

Did you buy the same ones as your Mom? If so yes just try a return. Might cost you postage so see if its worth it. Otherwise regift box and leave the books as off Nan

I buy replacements and claim the duplicates for the present drawer. DSs are then sworn to secrecy!

Surely everyone just says thank you, how lovely, and regifts the duplicates?

Part of having a kid is getting a fair few duplicate presents, especially from class parties. They just go back into the present drawer to go back on the present round for the next child's birthday party! (Keep a list though so you don't regift to the person who gave them!)

I would save the hassle and offence and regift them, or give to charity so another child can benefit.
