Any interest in a thread to swap your less-than-inspired gifts for something they want?

Nothing massively valuable or too heavy/fragile to post easily. I'm talking about the random screwdriver sets, teatowels and random bits of toiletries or kitchen equipment you'll never use, books you already have etc etc.

Post a photo and description of what you have to swap, and a few words about what kind of thing you would most like to swap for.

I do have something to offer but want to see if there's any actual interest from others before I post anything identifying (have name changed for this thread)

You’ve never received something we’ll meaning but misjudged, and you don’t want to upset the person and ask for receipts. I always think this thread is lovely, nothing languishes and people get something they really want. The less waste the better

I like these threads, I have a gift to swap but it’s something that will be hard to find someone to swap with unless they like my interest 🤣. I got gifted a book that I already have. If anyone’s into foraging pleas give me a shout 😬.

Luckily I didn’t get any unwanted smellies this year, just tons of chocolate.

I am in awe of the fact that you have never received a gift that wasn’t quite to your taste or in my case duplicate items that I would otherwise very much appreciate. As for it being Christmas Day, what difference does that make? everyone does different things & by this time here my elderly Dad is snoozing so I’m doing a bit of internetting to avoid making a noise/disturbing him.

I have the Monopoly deal card game (duplicate) to swap, interested in the foraging book & cardigan, will see what else I have tomorrow.

So I’ve got the XL cardigan, in an acrylic cotton blend. Also a sketchbook and what looks to be a set of acrylic paints. Some toiletry bits too I’ll list later, just minis though.

@Lovemusic33 I would be interested in the foraging book but I see I'm not the only one (and I haven't got anything to swap anyway because I liked all my presents). @LucyFox I was intending to buy myself The Thursday murder club... Is it any good? I have a drawer in which I keep anything we have been given which we don't want - known as the present stash. If we need to find a last minute gift or a secret Santa present then we always have something in there.

I received a very generous gift of Chanel No 5 Eau de Parfum spray 50ml. Unfortunately not a fragrance I like, swap anyone? Retailing in Boots at £86. Can't ask for the receipt to change

I received 2 copies of that book - we decided to wrap and gift one to our neighbour who we'd just found out was going to be alone on Xmas day, so she had a little surprise to open.

We couldn't ask her to ours as she won't leave her newly-adopted dog alone and our dog won't tolerate other dogs in the house.

I love this annual thread and have had some fantastic swaps over the years!

Does anyone know if you can buy an amazon or different gift card in tesco using a tesco gift card. DH was given £100 giftcard but the items he wanted to buy arent available at tesco

I checked tescos website, looks like you can’t. Can you not do some normal shopping there and redeem the cash out of the food budget?
What can I spend my Tesco e-Gift Card on?
You can purchase anything sold at UK Tesco stores except for Tesco and Third-Party gift cards.
