Ds is 20 months.
Am I supposed to be leaving a mince pie out, and empty stocking and all that this evening?
Or will it just go over his head this year?

Wow. Kudos to you! I'm not sure I'd have been quite that organised 2 weeks pp!

I remember my DS's first Christmas- he would have been 7 months old - I was going to leave Santa out a mince pie etc but he had fallen asleep ... so I woke him up to do it with meXmas Shock
Yes I woke up a sleeping 7 month old so he wouldn't miss out - a baby who wasn't great at sleeping anyway!

Mine was 2 last year and I didn't bother. I don't think he would have got it. This year we've done stockings and put the mince pie out but I'm not that sure he's into it.

The 13 week old has a stocking but that's just so the 3 week old doesn't think she's been left out.

My twins are 22-months old.
We went to see Santa in a local children's farm, so they can recognize pictures of Santa and know he gives presents.

Last night, I asked them if they wanted Santa to come and leave presents. My daughter looked terrified and said No!

I've wrapped up a couple of bits from Santa anyway (just thinking now, there's nothing from "me", just stuff from Santa). I have a stocking, but it's just decoration, and I didn't fill it.

Only do what you are happy to do for the next few years. Do NOT put the sticking by his bed (see thread about trying to sneak in bedrooms).
