Final Christmas supermarket delivery due tomorrow. Just remembered to add Bucks Fizz.
What else could I be missing?? 🤔

Here’s what I still need to get:

I have a Tesco delivery scheduled and would like to add to it BUT... last time I had a Sainsburys delivery organised and when I went to amend it I got a warning that if I did that some things I already had ordered would then be out of stock (so it was like I was ordering from scratch). This incudes the turkey! I'm now scared to touch it...

(I have breadcrumbs frozen already but sometimes need to buy)
Clementines (I need 2 for juicing for my roasted carrots as well as seasonal eating)
POtatoes and veg (including extra carrots for carrot sticks for dips)
Jus Rol fridge or M&S frozen croissants/pastries (for easy breakfast baking over the season)
Tea, lots of ground coffee, hot choc powder
Sugar (we rarely use it but visitors do)
Biscuits or mince pies
Plain bread
Butter
The makings of a few easy meals that can be stretched - both dinners and lunches
Pesto and hummus

Soup for after cold walks

I don’t understand why people are scared to edit an order because if they do some things will be out of stock. Those things are already out of stock whether you edit your order or not? At least if you edit you can choose the replacements.

I don’t understand why people are scared to edit an order because if they do some things will be out of stock. Those things are already out of stock whether you edit your order or not? At least if you edit you can choose the replacements.

Because often these things are out of stock at the time of editing but back in by the time of delivery so if you leave the order alone you still get the thing you originally wanted

My shopping order can no longer be changed, arriving tomorrow night. Since finalising it, i have added the following "forgotten" items to a list to pick up later in the week (although will wait to see what missing items i have before popping out).

• Cloves
• Onions (I have lots of chopped frozen onion but think a need some whole ones)
• Shortbread

-Possibly more breakfast stuff (apart from the usual toast and cereal) - do have smoked salmon and eggs in the order though

I wiIl also do a trip to the cheese shop and bakery later in the week. Hopefully by then i will have a better idea of whether anyone is likely to pull out due to covid.

I love this thread! Not only are there some brilliant thoughts of what I might have forgotten (mmmm port) but also it's fascinating to see what others buy.

I never use kitchen roll or cocktail sticks but always have white bread in (heathen!)
