Intrigued to see whether you got something nice/useful or a load of crap 🤣 might give some people some good ideas for next year too!

I was gifted a pair of mugs and a wooden tea box filled with a selection of various random teabags (not the packaged kind like a hotel tea tray, just random loose teabags that I have no idea what they are 😬) - Gifted by my colleague of 4 years who knows I don’t drink hot drinks 🤣👏🏼

A gift bag full of American candy, which is fine by me as I love it.

littlepieces · 21/12/2021 01:28

I got a mug from Etsy featuring a cartoonish illustration that's meant to be me? It was from an older colleague who I think believes it was very thoughtful. I feel so ungrateful but it's vile! Also why would I want to drink from a mug with myself on it every day?

Scarby9 · 21/12/2021 01:32

Fie little hollow chocolate Santas. Definitely below the target spend.
But I have already enjoyed eating them.Smile

chaosrabbitland · 21/12/2021 01:35

i got a beautiful rabbit mug with a scented candle and a rabbit shaped cushion with bunny pic on it . i belong to a Facebook rabbit group. so all the secret santa gifts that ppl send tend to be bunny related

Berry scented candles and champagne truffles, love both so very happy! (Thanks C if you’re on here) Grin

We each make a wish list, so we be sure will buy the person something they like. Ours is a family SS, and so not done in advance, we open together on either Christmas Eve or on the 25th, it makes us feel a bit more like we are with our family members.

Last year my SS have me slippers from my list, only...they were only the same in size and brand, not the style. Can't wear em due to my foot issues.

A cactus from Barry’s cactus club for colleague who likes plants

PeggyGa · 21/12/2021 01:59

I got the boy, the mole and the horse book which I loved

Newcomer68 · 21/12/2021 02:02

Lovely high end dark mint after dinner chocolate...but then we always have a list we provide of items we would like within budget. :)

On Skype! We open them on skype. I have less brains than usual tonight!

I was given Epson salt and a blanket that exactly matches my new duvet. I gave a tarot card set with crystals and sage. We do a secret Santa only 4 of us are in. We know each other so well No one ever gets a bad gift

MrsWidgerysLodger · 21/12/2021 03:47

I got my colleague some of her favourite tea from a local independent tea room and some toaster shaped bath bombs that turn the water black (she's an old school goth with a dark sense of humour and loved them!)
I got a hand and nail care set, which sounds boring but it's from a brand I like and in a fragrance I like. I've finally managed to grow my nails again after some health issues made them all flaky and weak so it's actually a really thoughtful gift.

FixItUpChappie · 21/12/2021 03:53

I received a white unicorn mug (sigh). I can't even regift it....I don't know any young girls or teen girls to give it too 🤷‍♀️

ILoveAnOwl · 21/12/2021 04:10

I got some gingerbread scented Reed diffusers. Not thrilling, but fine.

Hesma · 21/12/2021 07:42

We had a crazy hat theme. I received a Christmas tree on which I wore around school on the last day of term and the kids loved it!

cliffdiver · 21/12/2021 07:51

Some Fortnum & Mason Breakfast Blend tea bags.

I was very pleased.

Currently drinking a cup Xmas Smile

I also got the boy, the mole and the horse book which I also loved!

5thHelena · 21/12/2021 08:38

I've never once received a secret Santa I've liked or is 'me.' I have always put so much thought into mine and usually go a bit over budget. So disappointing. Thankfully I now work for myself and don't have to put on my 'oh how lovely!' face anymore!

RedHot22 · 21/12/2021 08:41
  1. Useful cycling stuff
  2. A bracelet made by the gifter
  3. Yet to be unwrapped

All great - so far

Fetchthevet · 21/12/2021 08:42

That's a great gift. I love that book.

I got wine and chocolates which I'm looking forward to starting later.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 21/12/2021 08:42

M&S lemon & neroli toiletry set. I'm pleased with it, although it's a bit unimaginative. We have a limit of £5, so not always easy if you don't know the person well.

WaningMoon · 21/12/2021 08:45

I got the kind of wine I like, and sweet treat I like, so someone in my team has been very thoughtful!

LynetteScavo · 21/12/2021 08:47

A bottle of rose wine- everybody else seemed to get Prosecco- I drink Prosecco but not rose. MIL will enjoy it on Christmas Day Grin

unluckyinlife · 21/12/2021 16:58

My 4 year old son brought me a bath exfoliator which I thought was cute as he knows I love bubble baths. He also brought daddy a 'lighter' as he always loses his..
it's a bicycle light as I'm sure I'm sure was the closest suggestion his school secret santa store had Grin
