Just thought what on earth am I serving on Boxing Day!

In our house we always have mcds Christmas Eve. Christmas Day a big traditional roast.

What do you serve Boxing Day? It will be for 2 adults, twins 10 and dd15.

I was thinking possibly a buffet but not sure what to put on it...

That's reminded me to get after eights thanks!

We have Christmas dinner leftovers on boxing Day so usually cold cuts and bubble and squeak. Sometimes I do bubble and squeak pasties to take out on a walk with a flask of hot chocolate.

Going to MIL's for Christmas Day style dinner- and nut roast for me.

New year's Day is always roast beef dinner. We get a joint of beef from the butcher's as part of our Christmas meat hamper so we save that for new year's Day and I do it in the slow cooker

Boxing Day pie! Leftover turkey, ham, stuffing and veg all in a white sauce with mash potato on top.

Christmas Eve - Dominoes
Christmas Day - Roast
Boxing Day - fish and chips at the beach (if they are open, we usually find one that is), then Turkey sandwiches in the evening.

That sounds bloody tremendous!

Boxing Day Lunch and dinner will be a festival of leftovers (Christmas Eve buffet and Christmas Day lunch) plus cheese/biscuits and some party food from the freezer if we want it. The aim is not to cook (except sticking things in the oven) with the possible exception of making some soup if there's a lot of leftover veg.
