Bedroom lighting recommendations

DS 11 is hoping for some bedroom lighting for Christmas.

I can’t choose between a sky lite 2.0 projector or an LED light strip. The sky lite 2.0 seems to have mixed reviews, I’d be really interested in hearing from anyone who has one. And with LED light strips there seem to be so many to choose from, can anyone recommend a brand?

I’d be really grateful for any recommendations as I’ve just fallen down a rabbit hole on Amazon looking at them and am more confused than when I started.

I don't to make it worse but I just got one of these lava lamps and it is truly excellent.

It gives off a lovely light and a pattern on to the wall.
