Present for 18mth boy?

I've got relatives coming over from the US for Christmas with an 18 month old boy. What brilliant toy can I give him? I'm stumped for that age group as it's been years since mine were that age.

Budget up to £30. (I've already got a couple of books and some clothes). It can't be massive or heavy as they need to take it home on the plane.

Thank you!

Jigsaw?

Melissa and doug wooden puzzles are great

Have a look at the brands galt, elc and learning resources. The puppet company do some lovely puppets sets, especially nursery rhythms finger puppets with the book or get Julia Donaldson or classic children tale and appropriate toys/book or look at ready made song or story bags.

Toot toot cars
Bubbles
A Threading kit

These would be my go to gifts for that age group which he would be able to use now and which would also still be popular as he grows.

This is one of the presents I have got for my grandson. It’s really lovely, they have about 4 different versions and they’re only £9.99 right now!

Would a play doh or duplo set be too big?

At 18months mine loved posting toys, ball drop toys or vehicles

The toot toot vetch cars are really good and small. My boy around that age loves his, by far his favourite thing and not expensive.

Just got this recently for my 15 month old and 2.5 year old loves it too. Good for posting and colour matching. Can easily be put in a small bag for travel home too.

Musical instruments are great at that age too or battat toys (Amazon or TK Maxx) do great cars & vehicles for that age.

All great ideas - thank you so much. I've passed some on to other relatives and bought some toot toot cars. They seem popular. I also got a few Schleich animals. They'll be played with for years, hopefully.

One of those Fisher price phones. Honestly my DS plays with his for hours and has done since he was about 18 months
