Can anyone suggest a small gift for a lad I don't know.

I don't know what he likes, does or anything else about him. I gather he is fairly serious/studious but that's about it.

My 18 year old would prefer cash or a Greggs voucher in all honesty.

Failing that are you happy to buy them a bottle of booze? Again, that would go down well.

How about a pair of gloves? Bottle opener? Posh shower gel? My 18 year old has a beard so bought him some beard oil and a beard trimmer!

Yard of pot noodles? Scratch cards and chocs? Stationary or book voucher? Socks - if you know what brand he likes.

iPhone charging cables are popular here too. Toasted sandwich maker good if he’s at uni / going off to uni.
