Balancing gifts

DC1 has asked Santa for a large Lego set.
DC 2 has asked for something that is the size of a small book and costs half the price. Santa only brings one present plus a book, chocolate, calendar, nuts and a mandarin.

DC2 is questioning Santa, DC1 (SN) seems oblivious. Currently they have the same number of similar gifts from us. Would you give DC2 an extra gift from us to make up the difference so she also has something to build and keep her busy for an hour or so ?

Could you put her gift in a gift bag from Santa then add other presents to it to make up the value? So it looks like one gift from the outside

I would probably balance it by a couple of "surprises" from you, esp if you want DC2 to have something to build.
