Nice nail varnish gift

My 16yo dd likes to paint her nails. Following a suggestion on here, I had been thinking about getting her a gel nail kit with LED lamp. However, having researched these, I have discovered that they ruin your nails and that the lamps are apparently associated with a higher risk of skin cancer, so I no longer want to go down that route.

I still like the idea of doing something associated with nails though. I don't bother to paint mine so know nothing about different brands of nail polish etc. Can anyone recommend a nice gift set or a really good quality brand?

The Essie gel nail polishes are excellent, you get the same effect but without the damage. Also the top coat works well over cheaper non gel polishes such as Rimmel.

Some nice opi sets on qvc or some Barry m polishes would be good which are normally on offer at superdrug
