Christmas Present for Sports Mad BIL

DH's family do a Secret Santa and as we're geographically scattered, it's hard to think of good gifts as since the pandemic, we haven't seen each other for ages.

What could I get for my BIL in the £20-25 range? His interests are competitive running (marathons, etc.), cycling, reading - he wouldn't mind a book on history, politics or sport.

I have no idea what he already has, I haven't seen him for over two years! Any ideas welcome.

Wine or whiskey Grin

I'm thinking about wine, but he's so health-conscious. Really doubt he'd touch whiskey!

Runners World magazine subscription

My DH is a bit of a sports nut and has enjoyed:
The Mechanic: The Secret World of the F1 Pitlane
Mud, Sweat and Tears by Bear Grylls
One Man and His Bike by Mike Carter
The Tour According to G

DH has one of these scratch off maps in his office.
There’s a sports edition of The Logo Game.
He also always gets a yearly marathon journal/tracker/diary like this but I know there are apps for this so I suppose it depends on how techie your BIL is.

Sealskinz waterproof socks! Or one of their hats. Both are great, and used for a variety of sports in my family.

Thanks for the ideas, I don’t feel quite so clueless about his hobbies now, will definitely check out those socks and the book recommendations.

Ha I was going to suggest waterproof socks too, life changing!
