Slightly nerdy 11 year old, just started secondary. He's a real sweetie, only child, likes Minecraft, plays the piano.
My goddaughter, just 8, I know she likes Animal Crossing and they have twin cats!
I also know if I ask their parents they will just say "Oh, they don't need anything".

What's your budget?

There was some animal crossing clothing and other bits in primark not so long ago. Also build a bear have a couple of AC characters.

What about a game like exploding kittens or Labyrinth for the 11 year old?
Stationery for the 8 year old - lots of fancy pens and things??

I've got DD who's 8 the Animal Crossing calendar for her bedroom from Amazon, it's lovely (if you like Animal Crossing)

If you try somewhere like etsy or redbubble you could even get them personalised AC or MC stuff

I'd of loved a cat soft toy at 8 (though understand some 8 year olds would hate one). Jelly at do such lovely soft toys

Jellycat*

Great ideas - I'm checking with the mum of the 11 year old what games they have.
I think the 8 year old would indeed like lots of glittery pens. In fact, my own 9 year old is getting some and my 7 year old wants some.

My 7 and 9 year olds still ask for these as do some teens I know.

Okay! Mum says 11 year old has Labyrinth and Exploding Kittens. But would like a book of more complex card games. My two are still on Go Fish and Snap. Any thoughts on a comprehensive or classic book of card games?
