Board game recommendations

We don’t really have any board games and I’d like to get some for Christmas. We’ve got DDs 10 and 8. DD10 has asked for Animal Crossing Monopoly and I’m getting DH Connect 4 as a jokey present. Also contemplating getting Cluedo.
Please tell me other games you really rate.

Gonna get mine scrabble, not sure if they are old enough for it as it’s 10 plus and mine are under but I use to play it when I was a kid and enjoyed it, don’t want to get the junior version as doesn’t like as good

We love labyrinth, blokus, ghost treasure hunters, super mario monopoly and battle sheep.

Get the Junior version of Cluedo - mine couldn’t play the proper version well at 8yo.
Labyrinth
Blokus
Articulate
5 second rule

Kids Against Maturity
Exploding Kittens

Any of the logo ones

Camel Up and Exploding Kittens (although that’s a card game) are big favourites with our 10 year old.

Other popular choices are:
Castle Panic (which is cooperative)
Monopoly for Sore Losers
Sorry!
Pay Day
Catan (used to play Junior, now playing the real thing)
Ticket to Ride (we play junior type rules on the adult edition)
Blokus
Football Billionaire and Wembley (very football centric though)
Throw Throw Burrito
Destination World
Game of Life (but we have a vintage edition and no idea if the modern version matches up!)
Labyrinth
Bugs in the Kitchen

We really love games!

Rumikub..like Scrabble but with numbers / maths is good fun as it doesn't count on children being able to spell.
