Just not feeling it this year! Any suggestions?

Hi everyone!

Normally I love this time of year but for some reason I am just not feeling it this year. I wont be able to put my tree up until the weekend before Christmas but I have got my fireplace mantle all decorated. I have pulled out my Christmas socks but I just am not feeling at all festive, just tired and frazzled!

Does anyone have any failsafe tips to get me in the festive mood at all?

I also don't actually feel it till mid December because of work and the preparations feel like even more work to do and not something enjoyable. I do lots of Christmas projects at work though and Smartshow 3d slideshows with festive music and the whole aesthetic help a bit but it takes time for me to get in a Christmas mood.

I feel like my Christmassy mood has been knocked out of me by the omicron news- I’ve gone from feeling excited about a relatively normal Christmas to worried about whether we should be seeing family at all and worried about what’s to come in January.

I feel so un-Christmassy now because of bloody omicron! Even the kids' OUTDOOR school concerts have been cancelled :(

I’ve given up just don’t care now h is moaning we’ve no money for presents he means my presents (shit I don’t want) I’m happy I’m having books for my kindle job done got bits I brought earlier this year put away. Carry on moaning his conscience is pricking him the years he given money to Jeremy his ex then gone around the works for stuff. Yep karma big time. Food wise I’m not worried got turkey crown in will get bits from the co op next week. I’m having a book about Joseph Clover one of the first anaesthesia experts in 1947 period moorland dynasty books I can’t wait.

Sorry 1847 period still thrilled oh yes biggest laugh four presents from in-laws wrapped by the tree he’s opened his stuff, he says “aren’t you going to open them?” I said “No it’s not Christmas Day yet” he’ll have his whisky Christmas Eve but that’s it for him I simply don’t care the grumpiness I’ve had in years oh I’m laughing inside, it’s hilarious it really is.
