I'm thinking snowy footprints from the fireplace, empty sherry glass and nibbled carrots, mince pie crumbs.... any other good ideas anyone?

We do the half a carrot & mince pie job....somehow the can of Boddies always get drunk though??!

My DD2 at age 6 (now 10) anounced seriously one Christmas,

Can I suggest granulated sugar for magic dust instead of glitter?
Easier to hoover up, and is less obviously the stuff they glue onto things.

One year, to keep the magic, FC left our stockings on a very exposed, inaccesible, icy chalet balcony . No human could ever have managed that.
