Best doll and dolls pram for 8 year old

I found my daughters hidden real Xmas list last night. She has a cool list which she talks about with friends in school - phone , gaming etc. She tells me this is the top secret real one with what she really wants. A doll and pram. I’m a little surprised and relieved. She’s very much an outdoor girl and had had proms and dolls but has never been wildly into them. I think she’s looking a baby type doll to dress feed etc and she has stuck on photos of double prams. She’s average height. Any suggestions/ advice gratefully received. Thank you x

If you’ve got a good budget, then this pram from Daisy Chain. If you don’t want to spend £££ then I think the Joie Junior Evalite Twin is probably the tallest double.
As for the doll, I’d go for a BabyBorn soft touch or a Bibi doll.

I was going to start a thread about this. My DD is 9 and wants a pram for her dolls for Christmas.

We have a silvercross dolls pram which is my 6 year olds but wouldn't be too small for my 8 year old- it doesn't fold or anything so takes up a bit of space. For dolls, try the maryshortle shop play dolls section- you can always get an idea of brands and look elsewhere but my DD likes that they are more 'grown up' and realistic. Her favourite is an Antonio Juan doll. The shop are responsive and helpful by email and in person (if you live near York!)

There's also prams on the Mary shortle website- a twin one similar to the one linked above- they are lovely but are £££- more than I paid for my real pram (in fact I'd probably get a real one instead!)

Tiny Treasures dolls (argos) are gorgeous, my nice is 8 and has three of them :) we also have three here, my eldest had twins for her birthday and littlest is having her own for christmas :)

Heckythump1 · 07/12/2021 07:06

She is very tall for her age and she has a Joie tandem pushchair

This is adorable and so wholesome and age appropriate. It's lovely to hear of a child wanting to be a child and free to do this at home.

DD has a silver cross double buggy very similar to this which height wise she still uses easily at almost 11. She vastly preferred our generation type dolls to baby dolls by 8 and recommend these!

orangetriangle · 07/12/2021 20:29

my niece who is 3 has two tiny treasure dolls they are lovely . Smyths does a baby girl doll or a baby boy doll that are anatomically correct about 18 pounds or one with accessories slightly more she also likes her baby Annabelle and has baby born at my house

orangetriangle · 07/12/2021 20:30

tiny treasures also do lots of clothes and accessories including a double pushchair. Argos sell it all

Thank you so much everyone for the great advice. Orders have been placed for a Joie tandem prom and a Bibi doll. Fingers crossed the order arrives on time. 😀

I love this. I got a doll for Christmas when I was 8 and it was so magical. Hope she loves her presents!

sunshineandrain82 · 08/12/2021 09:43

I fully recommend silver cross/ daisy chain dolls prams
We have every single on on the market. Children range from 1-8 years and still have plenty of years worth of play in it for height wise.

Ronnie1234 · 18/11/2024 09:05

Would you say Daisy chain & joie are still the best? My daughter is 7 & wants a double buggy for Xmas - just checking height wise
