We're sorted on the 'big' presents but now thinking about their stockings. So far I have a pair of character socks, a fidget toy each, and some chocolate coins. What else could I get? My brain is frazzled at the moment as we've had a lot of stuff going on. Thanks!

For my 3yr old I have

Small colouring book
Mr man book
Knitted father Christmas
Tube of bubbles
Bouncy ball
Jigsaw puzzle in a tin
Colouring pencils
Caterpiller-shaped pencil case
Chocolate coins
Bead bracelets

Just looking for some Christmas hair clips and I'm done, as Father Christmas wraps things here and doesn't over-fill stockings.

We have toddlers, and I'm trying to reduce the amount of "stuff" in the house (ah, the futile battle..!), so in a bid to not add too much, we are doing:

  • Small chocolate Santa or reindeer
  • Box of raisins (they've never had these, as we always just get big bags and give them a few from it, so hoping it'll be exciting?!)
  • Satsuma
  • A £1 coin (because they think coins are amazing)
  • A Smoothie cartoon (we rarely get them, and they'll be happy to get it for Christmas day breakfast)
  • A book token (which my 3 year old will understand, but my almost 2 year old won't - but I thought it would be a good way to give them an "activity" to do in a few weeks when Christmas excitement is over)
  • A bag of chocolate coins

It's not a lot, but they're still so young that I'm hoping it'll be exciting enough (given they'll be opening toys later too, so prob won't care too much about the small bits), and I'm saving the more exciting (and expensive!) Stockings till they're older.

Also, their stockings are pretty small, so hopefully won't look too empty..!

We always do toiletries. Usually from lush as dd loves it there.

Also thinks like toothbrushes and toothpaste.

Do they have a Yoto box or similar? Maybe some cards for that or some small books?

I'm pretty much done shopping and have...
Chocolate coins of course

Hair clips
Two games from John Lewis; a guess the animal and wooden noughts and crosses

We love a bit of schleich too but they have a schleich advent calendar this year

Main presents are a nice doll with car seat and change bag, a Lego friends set and a big kids' torch plus some shared presents with her big sis (playdoh big set, peel off nail varnish, a workbench from Tesco and some walkie talkies).

Newdad19 · 08/12/2021 20:36

A kaleidoscope went down well here at that age

hivemindneeded · 08/12/2021 22:52

Bath toys. We used to get soap crayons that wrote on the tiles, foam animals that you could stick on the tiles, sieves and jugs and tubes etc.

A soft cuddly toy

A picture book

Incywinceyspider · 09/12/2021 20:29

My 2 year old is getting:

  • chocolate coins
  • chocolate teddies
  • banana (he's obsessed)
  • accessories for his main presents (so a wooden Thomas train and a baby bottle for his doll)
  • bath crayons
  • a little cuddly toy to poke out of the top

He has a truly tiny stocking. Most stuff goes in his Santa sack downstairs.
