Neighbours' Christmas lights

I live on a street where people seem to be trying to out do each other every year: houses dripping in lights, blow up characters, deer, etc, etc.

The latest addition is a curtain of lights across the entire top 2/3rds of a house. The difference is plugged up with a different sheet of lights: blue and white icicles. Each one flashes a different pattern and it feels like an epilepsy hazard! It would probably look quite pretty if it wasn't flashing erratically and it was all the same colour.

I would "love" to hear about any dodgy decs in your area to make me feel less alone and less of a Scrooge Xmas Grin

One of the houses opposite has lights that flash really quickly in a random order. It’s chaotic. I’m sure the bloke that lives there does it to piss people off.

My whole street is like this, but my bit of road curves around slightly so I'm not looking at that directly. Now the person on the opposite side had joined in the festivities Xmas Smile

I do love lights but my neighbours behind me have white and blue lights in their garden flashing away. My daughter in the loft room says it reflects off her ceiling and is very annoying.
Non flashing are a lot better, and don't know why blue has become such a popular colour for lights at Christmas.
