1 pair or 2?

I've bought DH two pairs of trainers for Christmas. They're about £40 each, kind of everyday wear.

Then I saw a gorgeous pair, similar style but obviously look more pricey, for £80.

And now I'm stuck.

Do I give him the 2 pairs of everyday trainers (which he will wear) or return them and get the one pair of gorgeous ones (which could also be everyday but I'd be annoyed if he didn't take care of them).

Help?!

Return the two 'everyday' pairs.
I'd rather give and receive a gorgeous pair.

Which would you prefer to receive?

The question is what would your DH rather receive? Does he need two pairs of everyday trainers? Is he the sort of person who particularly cares what his trainers look like?

You can't be annoyed what he does with the gift though. If he wants to wear his expensive trainers for everyday and they get messed up, that's up to him.

Definitely the one pair of nicer more expensive ones

I'd keep the two pairs.

The one pair
I'd buy myself the cheaper options but probably not the more expensive ones. That's what Christmas presents should be - what you wouldn't buy yourself
