I usually get mine a bottle of gin or wine , a voucher to go for dinner or something would be a nice idea too .

A voucher and/or some chocolates or biscuits unless you know she drinks.

M&S or John Lewis voucher would be nice.

We gave ours normally a bottle of wine and some chocolates for the whole family (she has two children herself).
We added a small Christmas tree ornament for her tree in the playroom where she hung all decorations she got from the children or the children made.

Other years we did a potted plant and a voucher from the garden center for her lovely flower beds.

I'm a childminder and the best gifts I have received have been wine, a selection of Jams and Marmalades and a lovely Festive white candle holder.
The least favoured have been chocolates, biscuits and smellies (Avon --- Yuk)but I guess it's down to personal choice.

I asked ours what she wanted - would she like chocolate etc. or a voucher for the Works or similar, where she can buy books and craft / art supplies? She asked for art supplies.

I give my cleaner 2 weeks wages. For a childminder a bonus of £50 or maybe a days salary would be appreciated.

When I was childminding I loved receiving a festive bouquet from one family, a candle from another. Gin was always good too.
Homemade cards always made me cry. ☺️💖

One mother bought me a feminist tote bag, as we enjoyed many a discussion over the years.

I miss childminding so much, Long Covid affected me so badly I had to retire.I had some amazing relationships over 20 years.

I would go with a voucher for a restaurant or a shop you know she likes - perhaps a cinema voucher or something that they could enjoy with their own children/families.

I’ve had experience working with a group of childminders, they have always appreciated every gift they get but like teachers, if they look after a lot of children they get inundated with chocolate and wine.

I get mine a big box of decent chocs, a bottle of prosecco as that's her preferred drink, and a little gift for each of her dc.
