DHL/HERMES drivers and tips

Are they allowed to accept tips? My regular drivers are really kind and I would like to give them a Xmas tip but don't want to get them into trouble.

They're not supposed to but I know it goes on. Bottles of whiskey have always gone down well.

Mine just dump and go (I'm forever saying thank you to air), I have no idea if it's the same driver or not! And after the two mangled packages from Hermes (the absolute worst delivery firm) I wouldn't be inclined to give them anything!
