What do I buy my dd?!
Every year we do a big present but this year I'm really struggling.
What is in for an 8 yo girls atm.

We really like to have a big present in the room on Christmas Day so preferably something big-ish. She still plays with toys. This is the latest I've left it to buy the main present and I'm starting to panic a bit as I have a lot on before Christmas.

We struggled to but dd 9 decided she wanted a big lego set so that’s what’s she’s got. I wanted to get her a new bike but she’s not interested in bikes she loves her scooter more and she had just got a new one for her birthday a few months back. She had a switch lite last year.

My nearly 8yo dd is getting the LOL winter cabin, some Sylvanians and playmobil. The winter cabin is physically big but secondhand so only £20! Those are her favourite toys, as well as lego. Would your dd like any of those?

She is also getting craft stuff, books and clothes.

Gravitrax?

foxgoosefinch · 29/11/2021 23:30

Big Lego set? DD is getting a HP one.

Struggling this year. Mine just wants a new game for her Nintendo thingy. Not going to look very exciting wrapped up.

SkankingMopoke · 29/11/2021 23:35

What kind of toys does she currently like?
My 7.5yo DD is getting a telescope as her main gift and Gravitrax as a joint present with her sister.

My 9 yr old wants a Segway hoverboard and cart and a galaxy light.

I haven't decided whether she's getting either yet!

My 8 year old girl wants slime, and a tie dye kit, as well as a new switch game. Also things like bath bombs and art stuff and Lego.

A bean bag and nice throw? Useful but large in size, there are some lovely beanbags about from company's like rucomfy and big bertha, in all sorts of shapes and fabrics
A camera that prints pictures (doesn't have to be an expensive one)

Ours wants washimals, squish something or other soft toy, Pokemon soft toys and crafting items. Soft toys winning this year. And some fidget things.
8yo niece is mad for the Sylvanians families so she is getting some from Santa and then smaller bits from us and the other aunts.

Thanks. Dd has most of the things mentioned over the years but thank you all, the beanbag is actually a good idea. I was thinking only about toys but that may work well. Also the bath bomb making kit she does like those.
