I'm looking to get one for DD13. Are there pros and cons to getting the portable one rather than the Studio printer? I think the portable one prints smaller images? Is it one of those things that'll be gathering dust by January? Any advice would be most welcome. TIA

I bought my daughter a sprocket 2 Christmases ago. It's been great and although not used weekly, it is something that she still uses now.
The photos/stickers are fairly small but we haven't had an issue with the quality of the print. Refills are pricey though and don't seem to go on special offer very often.

Did you get the portable one?

My eldest had a sprocket a few years ago. My middle dd has one of her own this year. It's really well used.
The pics are perfect size to go with those peg lights (another gift) around her room.

We have one too, and I'd second what those up thread have said. It's a nice thing, DC use it, but not weekly and they like the pics.

Dd got one last year and still uses it regularly. The little pictures are perfect for scrapbooking or hanging from string with little pegs. She asked for more paper for her birthday & has bought some of her own.
