Tablet for YouTube

My kids have a Kindke Fire for watching YouTube (I didn't think I'd be that parent but then I had to stay at home with them for 3.5 months so here we are 😂).

We did the trick to be able to get YouTube on the kindle. This one seems to be on its way out so needs replacing, but according to recent reviews the never versions don't allow you to use the previous method to install YouTube.

Could anyone confirm if that's true or suggest another cheap tablet that would do the job? The kindle fire is only £40 at the moment so ideally wouldn't want to spend much more than that but I have no idea whether there are other options in that price range.

I bought a kindle fire last year and it has a YouTube app. I'm unsure of the model but I would suspect that YouTube is available on all models still. It would be weird for kindle to remove a popular app like that

@romdowa thanks. As far I'm aware YouTube was never available on kindle? I had to follow some complicated steps to install it the google play store last time.

Ah I've just googled and it's apparently available on the Amazon App Store as of this year! Shall check when I can prise it out of DSs hands...
