“A build-it-yourself remote controlled car”

…is what DD8 has asked for. I think it’s something she’s come up with herself rather than spotted. Does such a thing exist?
I can find build-a-car/engine kits, and I can find remote controlled cars, but not something that combines both (and that an 8 yr old could do).
Her other request is a snood which is much more manageable

my DC have one v similar to this - a great toy that has been played with lots over the years. If you have 2, they can race each other around obstacle courses :-)
