Oculus Quest 2

Hi, just wondering if anybody has any experience of Oculus Quest 2? Is it worth the money? Are the games very expensive? We don’t have a Pc so would need to use an iPhone to run it from. Can we still use Steam VR for games without a pc?

Debating between oculus or waiting for PlayStations new one.

We like it! Definitely not all expensive games - have a look www.oculus.com/experiences/quest/

You do need a PC to play steam VR games on it though.

@bagofconkers thank you, just had a little look and not bad prices at all.

I think you need a FB account to use it. That puts me off.

DS10 likes his. We were reluctant to buy it in case the novelty wears off but he still plays it loads.

Does anyone have any game recommendations for a 10 year old?! (Sorry to jump on your thread @FoxInABox)

My DS has one and loves it, hardly uses his Xbox now. Games seem to be a range of prices but you do need a Facebook account to use it.

DS friend has a PlayStation vr so that’s all DS knew of and wanted the same- but I am reluctant to pay out for a PlayStation vr when they’re likely to bring out a new one next year. Really torn between waiting for that or going for the oculus as I think he would love that too.
Really great to see others love theirs.

@MyPatronusIsAPenguin no need to apologise! Would love to hear some game recommendations too Smile

I really want one for myself lol but haven’t tried one yet. I don’t think the games look too pricey once you have the headset.

I'm going to ask what is probably a stupid question but,

If someone else had another headset, can you team up in the same game ie resident evil to kill the zombies together and if so can you see them in the game with you?

Scottishflower65 · 02/01/2022 17:26

Yes - many games you can team up eg Arizona Sunshine

Come back to say DS bought Beat Sabre with his Christmas money and it's fab! Like Just Dance but with light sabres!

Rldx2 · 02/01/2022 19:39

Absolutely!! We love ours, even the 4yo likes playing angry birds ☺️

nancybotwinbloom · 14/02/2022 19:59

I ended up getting one. I am not a gamer.

I love it. I have beat saber, walk the plank and boxing. I am Tempted to buy the les mills.

The best saber doesn't even feel like you are working out. I've worn the battery down twice today already. I'm going to order the spare battery.

The boxing is hard I'm aching from it.

Cannot say how much I love this!

How do I connect it to a Samsung tv? Can anyone help please?
