Whole family gifts?

Does anyone have any ideas for gifts for a whole family? Not just a tin of sweets or tub of crackers - I'm thinking something a bit more special?
There are three kids between the ages of 11 and 16 and two adults. Velvitiser with some hot choc maybe? Board games? I always get amazing gift ideas from this forum - help me out! :-)

Velvetiser is a great idea. DH surprised us with one last Xmas and it is in daily use for hot chocolate and frothy coffee.

Another present I always mention was a sundae hamper - proper glass dishes, long metal spoons, and a selection of sauces, sprinkles, flakes. Again the dishes and spoons are used quite often.
