As in the title really. Not into labels and doesn't really play with games anymore. I am completely stuck this year. Anyone with really great ideas? It really is a very difficult age

Some great ideas here. I've just bought a lazy arm and a cuddle cushion as a result.

I won't repeat all the other great ideas (I've a 13 year old who doesn't like football, not into clothes and who's main interest is gaming) and the only extra suggestions I can offer are popcorn maker (joe and Steph, or Amazon), bean bag for bedroom, voucher for whichever gaming system suits (Nintendo switch e-shop here), and American M&M 'hampers' (or other American sweets).

Have you asked him?

CatChant · 27/11/2021 08:46

Mine has just had a birthday so between the two celebrations he's got/will be getting:

Chronometer style watch,
Wall clock,
Wireless headphones,
Northern lights projector/lamp,
Money for a custom xBox controller,
xBox game discs,
Hoodies and t-shirts,
Some small wooden animals from Etsy,
Minalima special edition of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,
Ticket to Ride board game,
Minalima Hogwarts map poster,
Books - authors include Philip Reeve, Eoin Colfer, Robert Muchamore, Angie Sage, Rick Riordan, Charlie Fletcher,
Chocolate and sweets.

Also mulling over Dungeons and Dragons dice, Warhammer voucher, iPod voucher. We veer between thinking we've spent a fortune and thinking we've got him hardly anything. The Octonauts and Lego years were so much easier.

This is sooooo much stuff.
I would ask a 13 year old (they are generally very particular), and get them exactly what they want, and cut out all the other rubbish.
My 12 y/o is getting a gaming mouse and headset, and 14 y o a phone. They will probably also have sweets/chocolate, but teenagers don't need piled of presents.

OrangeBlossomsinthesun · 27/11/2021 09:25

My 13 yo is getting Fifa22 for the PS4 he already has, the Guinness Book of Records (he asked for), an oral b electric toothbrush (he asked for), LA Lakers tracksuit from Primark, Adidas shower gel etc set.
A beanbag is a good idea too.

Socuddly · 28/11/2021 08:55

My 13yo is getting

A TV
Football top
Hoodie
Weights
Football gloves

In his stocking he's getting
Chocolate
Bath bomb
Nice pens for school
Football puzzle book
Mini light memory game

Other things he wants/needs are
New bike helmet
Mud flaps for his bike
Wireless phone charger
Phone holder for his bike
Water bottle for biking
Jogging bottoms

He's recently had a bike rucksack with matching pencil case which he let him have before Christmas

Sweets, Jaffa cakes, Pringles are always popular

MerryMarigold · 28/11/2021 12:57

@CoffeeChocolateWine
V8 model engine (he likes building things!)
Where do I get this? Ds1 would love this

CoffeeChocolateWine · 28/11/2021 15:57

@MerryMarigold, I ended up getting it from Amazon as it was the best price but Menkind have them too. This is the one I bought…

Mine is big into Airfix modelling so he's easy, he's always after new models or paints or brushes. Would your ds be interested? Excellent present ideas for life

MerryMarigold · 28/11/2021 17:59

Thank you. Now decision whether to get his main present as something he hasn't asked for!

Cherrytart23 · 28/11/2021 18:09

My son has just asked me for a strike pack never heard of it untill now it goes on his ps4 controller an helps with precise aiming or something. Also wants external memory for ps4 and extra USB port cable thing. Up to now that's all he has said so needing ideas myself.

unexpectedthird · 28/11/2021 18:25

I am so glad it's not just me finding this age super tricky!

Mine likes Warhammer so is getting some paint and things for that.
He's also getting dumbbells and an x box live subscription but that is completely invisible.

From others he's asked for a new headset and an x box controller as well as more warhammer.

In his stocking will be:
Gorilla tape
Pokemon cards
Socks
A hot chocolate spoon
marzipan
scratch card
Kendal mint cake
A wallet
A microwave mug brownie kit

chillimice · 28/11/2021 20:06

Ooh yes this is tricky! So far DS has asked for something that automatically shuts the door behind anyone that comes on his room Hmm

He's actually getting

  • a mechanical keyboard
  • smart LED lights for behind his gaming PC
  • Demon slayer t shirt from Uniqlo
  • tile mate for his keys which he's forever losing
  • north face waist bag
  • power bank
  • prob a bubble tea kit to share with DD
  • a few stocking bits like deodorant (I live in hope) and a custom Christmas Pokemon TCG card
SingingSands · 28/11/2021 21:34

My 13yr old wants a new coat, a football shirt and FIFA22.
