Planning to take DD1 to see the lights this weekend, where are the best ones?

South Molten Street looks ok, apparently Regents St is crap ... any thoughts?

Carnaby Street are nice, Oxford St boring - I had a day trip to London this week so I know these things!

Don't know if the ones in Carnaby street are the same but I always thought they looked like giant condoms

The angels on South Molton St are lovely. Carnaby St is really nice, too. Oxford St's are ok - a few of the big shops (Debenhams, Selfridges etc have made the effort). I haven't seen Hamleys on Regent St this yr, but they always do a nice window display.

Hamleys was pretty fab .. in the dark anyway. There were a couple of streets behind Hamleys with massive decorations that looked like paper chains.

Harvey Nicks had funky xmas trees and nice window displays.

Great, so that'll be ....

Tube to Bond Street,
South Molten Street
Hamleys windows
Carnaby Street

Thanks, much better to ask MN, rather than wandering the streets with a 3yr old in the freezing cold!

Covent Garden looked gorgeous last night

Bond St nice. Oxford St and Regent St terrible. St Christopher's Place okay. And go and look at Debenham's window display. Really sweet and funny.
